St. Lawrence University, Kirk Douglas Hall
Construction of a new 155 bed student housing facility on the Quad. Services provided included pre-construction and construction. The project is constructed on the perimeter of the existing quad in a high pedestrian traffic area. The structure is hollow core plank on load bearing masonry above a cast-in-place concrete basement. The entire exterior is 4” Champlain stone veneer. The heating and cooling system includes 25 geothermal wells approximately 450 feet deep. Extensive landscaping blends the new building modestly into the existing quad area.
