Many years of experience in the industry and over 400 successfully completed projects, makes Northland uniquely qualified to provide overall planning and coordination services ensuring the upmost control of your project from beginning to completion, producing a functionally and financially viable project.
As a General Contractor we are involved in the everyday details of site management, scheduling trades and vendors and managing the communication of information to all involved parties. Our experience includes renovation and new construction projects from 2 million dollars to over 200 million dollars. Developers, public and private owners alike, especially appreciate our careful attention to their details and needs. In many cases we work in functioning facilities where the utmost care and sensitivity must be exercised to not disturb the daily operations the owner must maintain, and of course public safety for those in and around the immediate locale of the project.
Design/Build is the fastest growing and most popular method used to deliver construction projects in America. Working together as a team with owners and designers, to solve problems and provide unified project recommendations, Northland has successfully completed several Design / Build projects. Among them are, St. Lawrence University Kirk Douglas Hall Student Housing, St. Lawrence Student Center, St. Lawrence Johnson Hall of Science, and the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).
Northland believes that partnering promotes improved performance through collaborative business relationships based on value and trust. Partnering also allows for transparency and a goal-oriented team mentality. Northland has recently partnered with CIANBRO of Maine on the new U.S. Land Port of Entry in Alexandria Bay.
Northland will help your project stay within your budget with alternative but quality product recommendations. We believe that by maximizing a project’s function while minimizing the cost creates the greatest value for our clients.
Northland has a long history of self-performing concrete foundation and formwork from building foundations to wind turbine base foundations. In 2017 we constructed our own concrete batch plant on Wellesley Island to provide a continuous supply of concrete for the Alexandria Bay U.S. Land Port of Entry project.
